Bert Lemmon
Funeral service for Bert James Lemmon, 93, of 1293 Dobbin Ave., who died Feb. 10 at his home, was held Feb. 13 at the Comstock Funeral Home, Rev Donald B Stratton officiating. Burial was in Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Lemmon was born and educated in England and lived in the city since 1912. He was a member of the Murray Street Baptist Church.
He was retired from Central Public School and had also been employed as a sheet metal worker at both DeLaval and CGE. Mr. Lemmon was a member of the Gothic Lodge in Lindsay.
Mr. Lemmon was predeceased by his parents, James Lemmon and the former Mary Davis Spells, his wife, the former Grace Brunette Kimpton, sisters Mrs. S. Gould (Polly), Mrs. J. Warner (Minnie), Ivy and Brothers Cecil and Leonard.
Surviving are daughters Mrs Sidney Malsch (Nellie), Mrs Ian Tollerton (Dorothy), both of Peterborough, Mrs. Gordon Blackwell (Elsie) of Toronto, brothers Percy of Windsor and Walter of Nanoose Bay B. C. and a sister Mrs. G. Rosebrugh (Olive). Also surviving are five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
