MOTOR-CYCLE CRASH
DRIVER AND PILLION RIDER INJURED NEAR HATTON
A Hatton motor-cyclist and his pillion passenger were hurt in a mishap near Hatton late last night.
Reginald Smith (29), of Ingleton, Hatton, was riding a motor-cycle with Alfred Plumb (24), of Church-street, Tutbury, on the pillion. It is stated that the machine struck the curb, and both men were thrown off.
Smith is detained in the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary suffering from head injuries, cuts to the face, and shock. Plumb was able to go home after treatment for abrasions to the leg and lacerations to the finger.

BARNETT--RUDGE
The wedding took place quietly at St. Mary's Priory Church Tutbury, of Mr. George Richard Barnett and Miss Barbara Mary Rudge.
The bridegroom is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Barnett, of Doveridge, and the bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rudge, of 31, Church-street, Tutbury.
The Vicar, the Rev. Norman Edwards, officiated, and the bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. Alfred Plumb, wore a leopard skin coat over a dress of wine and turquoise lamé, a wine velvet turban, gloves and shoes of the same colour, and a spray of pink carnations.
Mr. Frederick Smith was the best man.
The honeymoon is to be spent in the Peak District.
